Community Homes for opportunity (CHO)
The Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) program, established by the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care (MOH), is a recovery-based person-centered program providing supportive housing that is safe and affordable.
CHO provides its residents with opportunities to enhance their quality of daily living, their personal growth and development, and improve life skills through participation in in-home and community activities, services and programs.
These six homes in the Ottawa-Brockville area provide support for 90 people and empowers residents with mental illness to be independent, integrated into the community, and active participants in their own wellness plan.
