Women’s Shelter
Our 71‑bed Women’s Shelter supports homeless women and gender‑diverse adults, with the ultimate goal of helping them obtain permanent housing.
The Shelter Experience
The program focuses on restoring dignity and self‑worth. Everyone in the shelter is provided with a bed, storage locker, meals and access to shower facilities. In a supportive, non‑judgmental environment, we offer a variety of services to help guests address their physical and mental health needs and addiction challenges. Staff also organise group activities and outings, creating a sense of community for all.
Our Team
The Women’s Shelter is staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of frontline staff, diversion workers, case managers and placement students. Our skilled diversion workers are on site to provide rapid intervention to help guests end their current episode of homelessness and connect with community supports to prevent a future return to emergency shelter. Case managers work with guests who need longer‑term support to address the issues and barriers that led to their homelessness, with the ultimate goal of securing permanent, independent homes.
Community & Support
Through a focus on empowerment and community, the Women’s Shelter helps women and gender‑diverse adults build life skills and develop the confidence needed to transition to stable housing.
