Recent disparaging signs on residences on Murray Street have saddened our staff, volunteers, community members and individuals who come to Shepherds of Good Hope for assistance during difficult times in their lives when they are struggling with poverty, challenges related to mental health, addictions, trauma and homelessness.

Shepherds of Good Hope and Carlington Community Association will host a recognition event to thank community partners for their work in creating and installing the new mural on the side of The Oaks. It will take place on September 13, 2018 at 6:30pm at The Oaks, located at 1057 Merivale Road.

A new mural was installed on the side of the Oaks, our supportive housing facility encompassing our residential Managed Alcohol Program.

Shepherds of Good Hope will march in the 2018 Capital Pride parade on Aug. 26th for the first time in the organization’s history. With a mission of providing homes for all, community for all, and hope for all, Shepherds of Good Hope will be marching to show solidarity with its LGBTQ2S employees, volunteers, and clients.

On June 27th, Shepherds of Good Hope held our 2018 Annual General Meeting, an event to mark our 35th anniversary, to introduce our new brand to our stakeholders, and award members of our community who have demonstrated what it means to be a Shepherd.

For 35 years, Shepherds of Good Hope has been helping our community’s homeless and vulnerably housed find their way to hope. To commemorate this important anniversary, Shepherds of Good Hope will be holding a celebratory BBQ and event on June 26, 2018.
